Your Name. (Kimi no Nawa.) is a beautiful, emotionally resonant science fiction romance novel written by celebrated Japanese director Makoto Shinkai. To manage the chaos, Taki and Mitsuha start leaving each other daily notes, rules, and logs on their smartphones. As they literally live each other's lives, a profound, intimate bond forms between them. But just as they decide to finally meet in person, the body-switching abruptly stops. When Taki sets out to locate Mitsuha's rural hometown using only his sketches of the landscape, he uncovers a tragic cosmic anomaly that forces them both to race against time, fate, and their own rapidly fading memories.
